DUAL LED OUTPUT: The Fenix HL26R provides up to 450 lumens and utilizes two types of LEDs (CREE XP-G2 R5 & Nichia White LEDs) giving users the option to alternate between 'Spotlight' and/or 'Floodlight' with separate switches.

DURABLE & COMFORTABLE: Constructed from poly-carbon materials, the HL26R has an IP66 waterproof rating to withstand any weather conditions. Users will also enjoy the fully adjustable, reflective headband, a necessity for extended-wear comfort and safety.

I was looking for a small, lightweight general purpose headlamp and this really fits the bill. Good beam for distance and side LEDs for up close or reading. Just keep in mind that this is a rechargeable flashlight so you cannot replace the battery when it goes dead.

I have several headlamps but this one is now my favorite. The best features of this light are the ability to charge over USB, its bright flood and spot light, and its weight. Though it doesn't seem like a tremendous inconvenience to swap batteries out, being able to charge from a laptop or a phone charger means I don't have to carry another brick around. This also means that it can charge with a solar charger or a battery pack. With a 14W solar charger it took about 3 hours to go from 1 bar to 4. Both flood and spot lights are bright, but it's probably not quite 450 lumens. There are several lighting modes and on the lower settings -- which is still ample light -- it lasted for several hours. Unfortunately, both lights can't operate at the same time. After two hours it didn't feel particularly hot but the instructions indicate it has a temperature shutoff. The weight is also acceptable and I had no fatigue problems. Despite its weight, it feels solidly constructed. No real downsides that I've seen. While charging, only the spot light works.

I was using it for work. Not labeled intrinsically safe, but I don�t need that. I ended up using the flood options more than anything. Those worked very well. Spot gets out there pretty good. Adjustments were adequate for me. Band is comfortable. Don�t really hike, but decided to be a dork and take it to the gym. Stayed on and pretty much in place while working out and about an hour walk on a treadmill.
